Farmhouse, late C17th. Sandstone rubble with stone slate roof. 2-unit
central entrance with 2 stacks. Cl9th extension to west having gable stack.
2 storeys. Main facade faces south. To left of door a 3-light rebated and
chamfered mullioned window, with one of 2 lights to the right. On 1st floor
a similar window of 3 lights to the left, with an altered rebated and
chamfered surround to the right. C19th extension to left has plain stone
window surround on each floor. Front door has plain chamfered stone surround.
Rear wall has 1-light rebated and chamfered window to left with doorway
having plain reveals to its right. A rebated and chamfered surround remains
on 1st floor. To the right is a single-storey outshut with 2-light chamfered
mullioned window, a window with rebated and chamfered head and plain reveals,
and a doorway with plain reveals and re-set shaped lintel with '1683 W A' on
central panel. The studded door is a reproduction in softwood. Barn continues
under same roof to right.
