Hotel. c1830 and later C19th. Punched squared sandstone with slate roof.
The southern portion, of 2 storeys and 3 bays, with end stacks and chamfered
quoins appears to be older. All the windows are sashed with glazing bars
except the right-hand ground-floor one, which is blank. The ground-floor
windows have shouldered chambranle architraves with pulvinated friezes and
triangular pediments. The 1st floor windows have shouldered architraves.
The projecting eaves of the left-hand gable form an open pediment with a
central moulded round panel, now blank. At the rear is a wing with similar
details. The northern, lower, portion is of 2 storeys with attic and of
2 bays. The windows are sashed with glazing bars and shouldered architraves.
The porch has corner pilasters, cornice and blocking course. The door has
a moulded surround with semi-circular head. The roof has 2 modern attic
dormers. Chimney on north gable.
