Milestone, c1800. Sandstone with cast-iron plates. Triangular section,
semi-circular at base. 'SLYNE-WITH-HEST' incised in base. Left-hand
plate reads 'Burton VII 1/2 miles'. Right-hand plate reads 'Lancaster III
miles'.
