Row of cottages, formerly associated with flax mill, probably early C19th.
Limestone rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys. No. 5 (the southern house)
has a door to the right with plain reveals and a double sash window to the
left with glazing bars, plain stone surround and square mullion. All other
windows in the row have plain reveals. On the 1st floor are 3 windows, the
centre one being fixed with glazing bars, the others being sashed with
glazing bars. No. 7 has a door with plain reveals having a window on each
side, the left-hand one being fixed with glazing bars, the right-hand one
being modern. On the 1st floor the left-hand window is sashed with glazing
bars, the right-hand one sashed. No. 9 has a door with plain reveals, with
a 6-pane sash to the left, a modern casement to the right and a sashed window
to the right of that. On the 1st floor are 2 sashed windows. Chimneys on
gables and between Nos. 7 and 9.
