2.5.1968 Stable block to Yealand Manor

Former stable, early Cl9th. Coursed limestone rubble with sandstone dress-
ings, chamfered quoins and hipped slate roof. 2 storeys. The west wall has
some round pitching holes. The north end of the east wall has a wide segmental
arch to the right, with 2 doorways and a window, all with plain reveals, and a
fixed window with glazing bars and a plain stone surround. At the southern
end of the east wall there is a similar window, and a blocked doorway, now a
window, with plain reveals. At the left-hand end there is a wide opening
with a segemental head, now blocked and containing a door and a window.
