House, early C18th. Sandstone rubble with stone slate roof. T-plan. 2
storeys, 3 bays. Windows have rebated and chamfered surrounds with mullions
restored in timber. At the left is a blocked one-light fire window. The
door, in the central bay, has a cyma-moulded surround. Gable chimneys.
Gables have copings with kneelers. The north-east wall of the rear wing has a
doorway with cyma-moulded surround and segmental head, now blocked to form a
window. Re-set over a modern 1st floor window in the rear wall of the main
block is a lintel removed from the adjoining barn, with initials and date
'1727'. Interior has exposed chamfered main ceiling joists, and cruck timber
re-used as lintels and in partition wall. Left-hand front room has moulded
shouldered stone fireplace. Rear wing has wide chamfered fireplace with
elliptical arch.
