6/44 Chapel of St. Anne
House, formerly Church of England chapel, 1752. Sandstone rubble with stone
slate roof. One storey with cellar, 2 bays. Windows of 2 round-headed lights
with square mullion, within stone surround with moulded imposts and flattened
arch. All are glazed with rectangular leaded panes. The central bay has
similar details, but has a cyma-moulded door surround below 2 short lights,
the door reached by 5 external stone steps. The gables have copings with
kneelers. The east gable wall has a window similar to those to the main
(south) facade. The west wall has, at cellar level, 2 2-light windows with
chamfered surrounds and square mullions. Between them is a door with
cyma-moulded surround. Above is a modern one-light chamfered window. At the
apex is a stone bellcote. At the rear is a door flanked by 2 windows, all
