8/73 Aqueduct (No.87)

Aqueduct carrying Lancaster Canal (opened 1797, engineer John Rennie) over
River Conder. Punched sandstone blocks. Single segmental arch with straight
string course over, flanked by piers. Above is battered retaining wall of
concave plan, the piers terminating below the top of a solid parapet with
string course.
