Farmhouse Bay Horse)

House, probably c.1700, altered C19th. Sandstone rubble with stone slate
roof. 2 storeys. Main part of house 2 bays, with 3rd bay at left beyond a
straight joint and under a lower roof. Windows sashed with no glazing bars
and plain stone surrounds, except for the right-hand ground-floor window where
the sashes are paired in a chamfered surround with central mullion. Drip
course over all 3 bays at front, interrupted by windows and by doorway. Door
is at left of earliest part of house and to right of added bay. It has a
bolection-moulded stone surround flanked by crude Doric pilasters with
cyma-moulded sinkings, supporting a blank frieze and moulded cornice. Above
on the 1st floor is a blocked one-light chamfered window. Chimneys on gables
and to left of door. Interior has no exposed features of architectural
interest.
