9/165 Southern barn at Fell End Farm
-

GV II

Barn, probably late C18th. Sandstone rubble with stone slate roof. Built on
slope, with underhoused shippon at north-west end. North-east wall has wide
entrance with stone lintel at left-hand side of the wider shippon end. To its
left the wall is covered by a lean-to addition now derelict. To the right is
a window with plain reveals. The right-hand gable has 3 chamfered shippon
doorways. Above are 2 rows of ventilation slits and an owl hole. Interior
not accessible at time of survey, but appears to have trusses with tie beams
and collars.
