5/173 Old Hall Farmhouse

House, 1702, altered c.1800. Slobbered rubble. Roof of stone slate, with
slate at rear. T-plan. 2½ storeys, 5 bays. Windows sashed, with 4 lower and
2 upper lights, and plain stone surrounds. Attic storey has 4 windows with
glazing bars and chamfered surrounds. Porch in 3rd bay has parapet with plain
band, and a door with plain stone surround. Within the porch is a door with
moulded surround and shaped lintel inscribed: 'CHA 1702'. Some dressings to
blocked mullioned windows remain in the wall. End chimneys. Rear wing has
some mullioned windows remaining in north wall. Interior not accessible at
time of survey.
