Former school and sunday school, now disused. 1850 with late c17th remains.
Sandstone rubble with stone slate roof. One storey. North front has one bay
on each side of gabled porch, having windows with plain reveals, pointed
heads, and glazing bars. Porch has small window with plain stone surround in
front wall and doorway, with long-and-short jambs and stone lintel, in
right-hand return wall. To the right of the right-hand window is a plaque
inscribed: 'This school was rebuilt by subscription 1850'. Chimney on
left-hand gable. Ball finial on right-hand gable. Right-hand (west) gable
wall has tall window with plain stone surround. Rear wall has 4 2-light
mullioned windows, the 2 left-hand ones rebated and chamfered, the right-hand
ones chamfered. Inside, one roof truss is of softwood, the other is re-used
and has a collar and raking queens struts.
