Sundial and base, west of Church of St Michael

Sundial and base, 1641, although base could be later. Brass and sandstone. Shaft square on plan, with chamfered sides, on a base of three steps. Plate, with gnomon, has inscription which is difficult to read, but said by VCH to be: 'Ex dn. Ric. Jackson Rector de Whittington An. Dn. 1641.'
