SD 55 NE OVER WYRESDALE

8/27 Summer house south of Lower Lee (formerly
2-5-1968 listed as Summerhouse in garden of Lower Lee
GV II Farm)

Summer house, early C19th. Sandstone rubble with hipped stone slate roof.
Square plan. 2 storeys. 1st floor has a sashed window with glazing bars
and plain stone surround on each side except for the south-west side which
has a 1st floor doorway with plain stone surround, reached by a
cantilevered stone stair with iron balustrade. Below on the ground floor
is a similar door. The north-east side has a window similar to those
above. The south-west side has a ground-floor doorway with plain stone
surround. The summer house at Ortner (q.v.) is almost identical.
