Terrace retaining wall with balustrade and steps south of Abbeystead

Retaining wall, probably 1887 by Douglas. Buttressed sandstone rubble wall.
surmounted by chamfered balusters of rectangular plan forming round-arched
openings below a coping. End piers of square plan, mostly with ball
finials. At each end and in the middle are flights of stone steps.
