SD 66 NW TATHAM

2/81 Green Side Farmhouse

House, 1678. Slobbered rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys. Ground-floor
drip course. To the right of the door are rebated and chamfered mullioned
windows of 3 and 2 lights. To the left of the door the drip course has
been cut back and there are 2 windows with plain reveals. On the 1st floor
are 2 windows with rebated and chamfered surrounds; between them is a
window with plain reveals. The door has a moulded surround and a shaped
lintel with carved leaf and tendril decoration. A small rear wing has a
rear wall with a rebated and chamfered window surround on the ground floor
and a similar 3-light mullioned window above. Inside, chamfered stone doorways lead from the right hand room to the left-hand room and to the
rear wing. The left-hand room has a chamfered palour fireplace with a
lintel the design of which is similar to that over the front door.
