House, late C17th, altered. Sandstone rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys.
Earliest part of house of 2 bays. The left-hand 1st floor and right-hand ground-floor windows have rebated and chamfered surrounds with mullions
removed. The other windows have plain reveals. At the right is a blocked
one-light fire window. The door, adjoining the left-hand window, has a
rendered surround. At the left is a one-bay addition which has windows
with plain stone surrounds. To its right is a ground-floor window with
plain reveals within a blocked doorway. Chimneys on gables and to left of
original house. The right-hand gable wall has a blocked 1st floor
fireplace which belonged to a cottage which once adjoined and has now been
demolished. The rear has a stair outshut of slight projection. To its left
is a window within a blocked doorway, with a door with plain stone
surround to the right of that. On the 1st floor is a window with rebated
and chamfered surround. Interior has exposed main ceiling joists,
including a probable firehood bressumer, and a fireplace with plain stone
surround.
