C18 2-storey rough cast. The central doorway has a cornice with dentils and a frieze
over engaged Ionic columns. The 2 3-light windows in the ground floor are sunk,
with a cornice over, of which the forward moulding is flush with the face of the
stucco. The centre light is broader, and now there are glazing bars only on the
upper halves of these windows. At the head of the jambs and mullions are brackets.
The 3 single-light windows in the upper storey have good moulded architraves and
glazing bars. The central window has a cornice with dentils on brackets and there
is a plain string at cill level. At the eaves is a cornice and in the centre a pediment
on brackets; the lower mouldings of the eaves cornice continue as a string across
the pediment. In the tympanum is a rectangular panel and inside an oval moulded
frame the initials and date with a doubled swag over, 1808 D J P. Over the front
corners of the house are urn finials. See also No 23.
Nos 1 to 23 (odd) form a group with the Parish Church of St Mary Magdalene, Nos 7
to 13 being buildings of local interest only.
