Early-mid C19 former hotel building. Three storeys, rendered, carved as stone, with rusticated quoins, eaves cornice, carved bargeboard to gable end. Three windows, stone surrounds, no glazing bars. Two windows to ground floor and doorway with stone pilasters, entablature and cornice, double doors of six panels beneath rectangular fanlight.

Nos 1 to 9 (odd), 5A and 7A and White Lion Hotel form a group, Nos 7 and 7A being buildings of local interest only.
