Cruck barn, Cl9th with C17th remains, with crucks of C17th or earlier.
Sandstone rubble with slate roof. The east wall has a wide entrance with
timber lintel. The southern (gable) wall has a shippon doorway with Cl9th
plain stone surround and 3 windows with similar surrounds. The west wall
has a blocked wide entrance with chamfered surround. Inside are 2 large
cruck trusses. Each has outriders, 2 spurs from each blade to the wall,
a yoke halved over the blades below the apex, and no tie beam. The
southern truss has a collar, the northern truss having the housings for
a collar only remaining. The rafters and purlins are modern.
