House, probably early C18th. Squared watershot sandstone with stone slate
roof. 2 storeys with attic, 3 bays. Windows have outer chamfer and inner
cyma moulding, with mullions and transoms. The ground-floor windows are
of 6 lights, with cross windows on the 1st floor. The door has a
shouldered architrave. Brick chimney at the right-hand end. The rear
wall has 2 2-light rebated and chamfered mullioned windows on the ground
floor and a double-chamfered cross window lighting the stair. Interior.
The ground floor has 2 doors with raised and fielded panels, and a C18th
moulded shouldered fireplace in the left-hand front room. The dog-leg
stair continues up to the attic, with 4 flights, square moulded newels and
turned balusters. The roof principals have curved feet and there is a
stepped 3-light chamfered mullioned window in the east attic wall, now
blocked by the adjoining house.
