House, 1680, altered. Sandstone rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys with
attics. South gable wall, facing the street, has a central doorway with
long and short jambs and lintel with '1680' in raised letters flanked by
2 motifs of 4 hearts each. The ground-floor windows are modern with
plain reveals. On the 1st floor is a 3-light mullioned window with outer
chamfer and inner hollow chamfer, and a hood mould. Above is a one-light
chamfered attic window. The west wall is covered on the ground floor by
a single-storey garage of recent date. On the 1st floor towards the north
is a modern window with plain reveals. Towards the south is a window
similar to that on the 1st floor of the gable wall, but of 2 lights. The
north gable has a chimney cap with weathered offset and tabling. To the
east are modern additions. Inside, the ground-floor ceiling beams remain.
The single roof truss is of hardwood with a collar and a tie beam.
