Lower Birkett Farmhouse

II

House, late C18th. Sandstone rubble with stone slate roof. Central-entry
plan with end stacks. 2 storeys, with 2 bays to the south. Windows sashed
with glazing bars in plain stone surrounds, the door also having a plain
stone surround. The north wall has a sashed window with glazing bars in a
plain stone surround to the right, and a double sash with plain stone
surround and square stone mullion to the left. On the 1st floor is an
8-light weaving window with square mullions and small panes, some fixed
lights and some sashed with glazing bars.
