Description

SD 7052-7152 SLAIDBURN CHURCH STREET (EAST SIDE)

17/96 No. 33

GV II

House, late C18th. Rubble with sandstone dressings and imitation slate
roof. 2 storeys, 2 bays. Windows have plain stone surrounds, the
ground-floor ones having a central square stone mullion. All have
glazing bars, some with the upper panes opening. The doorway, between
the bays, has a plank door with plain stone surround. A difference in
stonework suggests that there was a second doorway to the right and that
the house was once two cottages. End stacks.
