Barn, 'L M 1753' on keystone of arch. Squared coursed sandstone
with slate roof. The wide entrance has a segmental arched head and
long-and-short jambs. A porch roof is carried on 2 series of shaped
stone corbels, each one projecting beyond the one below. To the left
is a later lean-to. To the right is a pitching hole with plain stone
surround. At the rear are later lean-to shippons. Interior. In the
rear wall of the original barn is a blocked wide entrance. The roof
is of a mixture of hard and soft wood. The trusses have king posts with
through tenons pegged below the ties. These are braced to the principals
and to the ridge. The purlins are scarfed.
