drive to Bolton Hall, approx.
680 metres south of Church

Cross base, probably medieval, sandstone. A large rough stone block
has socketed into it a dressed block of square plan with its upper
edges chamfered. The latter is socketed for a cross shaft, the stump
of which remains.
