Wellhouse, probably early C19th, over older well. Rubble, mainly
sandstone, with conical slate roof. Of circular plan, maximum height
of walls approx. 2 metres. In the east side is a doorway with plain
stone surround and pointed head. On the south side is a small window
with plain stone surround and pointed head. Inside, the well is
surrounded by a circular flagstone walkway. Near site of Bolton Hall.
