Higher Hodder Bridge

9/89 former Bowland Rd)

Bridge over the River Hodder, probably late C18th. Sandstone ashlar
with some rebuilding of the upper courses in rock-faced sandstone. 2
elliptical arches, with cutwaters of triangular section and solid
parapet with coping and string. Some masons' marks visible on ashlar
blocks. Part of this bridge is in Aighton, Bailey and Chaigley parish,
