12/92 New Bridge, Lower Hodder (that part
in the former Bowland Rd)


Bridge, 1826 (VCH). Rock-faced sandstone with furrowed rustication
to the parapet. 3 elliptical arches, the middle one being wider, with
chamfered voussoirs. Solid parapet with rounded coping terminated by
squat pillars with rounded caps. Part of this bridge is in Aighton,
Bailey and Chaigley parish (q.v.).
