Church, 1837, by John Latham. Red brick, slate roof. Nave with small west
tower and short chancel. Norman style. Nave of 5 bays marked by lesenes,
each bay with one round-headed window, a stone sill band beneath and a corbel
table above. Simple west tower with embracing buttresses, a round-headed
doorway in the north side with stone dressings including Norman responds, a
round headed window above, a similar window at ground floor of the west side,
a lean-to on the north side; 2nd stage finishes with stone table bearing an
octagonal bellcote with round-headed openings terminating with a dome (but
formerly with a small spire). Interior: west gallery supported on 2 iron
columns with pierced brackets; Norman-style chancel arch with
cushion-capitals; box pews; C17 octagonal wooden pulpit with carved panels,
the frieze lettered : "CRIE:ALOVD/SPARE :NOT /LIFT:UP:THY/VOYCE /LIKE:A:TRVM/PET"
