Bridge over Leeds-Liverpool Canal c.1810 (Engineers Robert Whitworth and
Joseph Priestley). Coursed sandstone. High elliptical arch with
rusticated voussoirs, bands, parapets (raised or altered) with copings
and pilastered ends. Steps to towpath on south sides at east end. Large
pipe piercing the abutments is arched across south side.
