House with integral back-to-back cottages, now 2 dwellings. Late C18;
altered. Watershot coursed sandstone, stone slate roof with gable
chimneys. Large square double-depth 2-bay plan. Two-and-a-half storeys;
south front has 2 doorways with plain surrounds, to the left of each a
3-light flush mullion window, and at 1st floor four 2-light flush mullion
windows. Left gable wall has inserted door and window at ground floor, two
2-light windows on each floor above; right gable has two similar windows at
lst floor and attic (altered window at ground floor, and attached garage);
rear matches front except that there is no door to the left half.
Interior: not inspected, but said to contain unusual second chimney flue at
ground floor.
