Farmhouse. Probably early C17; altered. Coursed squared sandstone with
small quoins (random rubble rear), stone slate roof. Rectangular 3-bay
plan, facing south, with entrance into through-passage at east end, behind
reredos of firehood. Two storeys; large modern single-storey flat-roofed
porch added at right-hand end, covering main doorway; recessed windows all
now lacking mullions, except at left end of ground floor which was 4
lights but is now 2, the centre mullion retained; 2 other windows at ground
floor, 4 at 1st floor formerly 3,2,2 and 2 lights. Rebuilt ridge chimney
near right-hand gable. Rear has former rear doorway to through passage,
with large rectangular lintel, but now altered as window; various other
windows on floor which may have been fire windows and 2 near the west end,
formerly mullioned but altered like those at the front. Interior not
inspected. Reference RCHM p. 171.
