Barn, probably early C18, altered. Coursed thin sandstone rubble with
quoins, slate roof with gable copings and kneelers. Rectangular 8-bay
plan. Plinth of squared sandstone, slit breathers at ground floor and
small square ones above; porch with carried-down roof protecting wagon
entrance to 5th bay, 3 inserted windows to the left. South gable wall has
3 doorways (the centre and right blocked), a loft door above; north gable
has lean-to addition, a square loading door above this, and in altered
upper masonry of the gable a square datestone with recessed panel (blank or
heavily worn). Modern brick additions to rear (west) side. Interior: 2
kingpost trusses with Y-struts, others tie-beam trusses, 4 pairs of purlins
with some straight bracing.
