Farmhouse now house. Probably later C17, altered. Handmade brick, stone
slate roof. Three-bay baffle-entry plan. Two storeys; panelled door in line
with ridge chimney at junction of 2nd and 3rd bays, an oval nameplate at 1st
floor above: HOLLY; 3 altered windows on each floor, all 3-light sliding
FARM
sashes, that to left of door enlarged and that to right with a long brick
label and the timber head and right jamb of an earlier window visible. Right
gable wall has external steps to a former loft; rear altered and covered by
additions. Altered ridge chimney stack, and cut-down chimney at rear left
corner. Interior: altered, inglenook heck remaining but no bressummer, 2
longitudinal beams (with stopped moulding) running directly into brick chimney
breast; similar beams in 3rd bay; 1st bay longitudinal partition removed but
cross-corner parlour fireplace remaining in altered condition.
