Farmhouse, now 2 dwellings. Dated 1659 on porch, altered and extended.
Handmade brick with stone quoins, chamfered stone plinth, slate roof.
Three-bay baffle-entry plan with projecting porch, added wing at left end,
modern additions to rear. Two storeys; walls raised by c.15 courses; 2-storey
gabled porch in line with chimney behind ridge at junction of 2nd and 3rd bays
has quoins to two-thirds full height, open outer doorway with large sandstone
lintel bearing worn lettering including restored date 1659, brick label over
the lintel, peephole in left side, blocked 2-light window in right side at 1st
floor, wooden side benches, and inner door with stop-moulded wooden surround.
To left are 2 sashed windows on each floor, those at ground floor with brick
labels, and interrupted coursing beside these windows suggesting former brick
mullion windows; to the right one 4-pane sash on each floor. At left end
