Farmhouse. Dated 1739 at attic level. Handmade brick, slate roof.
Double-depth 2-bay plan. Two storeys and attics; symmetrical, with gable
chimneys; bands on 2 levels; central studded board door with ornamental
strap hinges, 2 segmental-headed 4-pane sashes at ground floor, 2 at 1st
floor and a blind window in the centre, all these windows with gauged brick
heads; in centre above the upper band a datestone with scrolled surround,
inscribed S . Right return wall has various altered windows, mostly

segmental headed; rear has C19 windows, some blocked, and single storey
service wing. Interior: contemporary staircase, doglegged the full height,
with open string, one and 2 turned balusters per tread, and ramped
handrail.
