Cottage. C17, altered. High stone plinth, post-and-rail box framed walls
with straight arch-braces to the wallplate, stone slate roof with brick
chimney at right gable. Two bays, 1½ storeys; entrance through modern
addition at left end; two 3-light fixed windows below the rail (one to each
bay) and an inserted dormer to the 2nd bay. Rear is similar but altered to
make a small window below the rail in each panel, has bracing only from the
centre post, and in the centre has a doorway with nicked lintel. Interior:
complete timber-framed construction: lateral partition wall with 2
doorways, one altered and the other blocked under a cambered lintel;
similar longitudinal partition of 1st bay; chamfered beams; at 1st floor 2
timber-framed partitions close together, with original doorways in both;
windbraced roof.
