Farmhouse, now house, with barn attached at right hand end. Probably
mid-C18, soon extended; altered. House of coursed sandstone rubble, barn
of random rubble, slate roofs and brick chimneys. House double-depth, 2
bays extended to 3 by addition at left end. Two storeys; vertical joint
between 1st and 2nd bays; portion to right of this is symmetrical, with
chimneys at both original gables, central doorway in plain surround, two
3-light windows on each floor, formerly flush-mullioned but altered as
casements; added bay to left has one similar window on each floor, gable
wall has a 2-light window at 1st floor and another to the attic, chimney on
rear slope, and to the rear of this the gable of a shallow addition. Barn
continued to right, slightly stepped out, on a lower level but with
formerly steeply-pitched roofline indicated by watertabling on gable of
house, has 2 square windows in front wall. Rear of less interest, altered;
interior not inspected.
