Former Wesleyan Methodist chapel, 1864-66, by Bates of Manchester. Freestone, hipped slate roof with two chimneys in rear wall. Rectangular plan, 3 x 6 bays. Two storeys, in classical style, with first floor band.

West facade and first bay of return walls have giant Corinthian pilasters bearing a deep entablature with dentilled and modillioned cornice; centre of facade has applied portico with pediment carried by giant Corinthian attached columns distyle in antis enclosing a first floor Venetian window (ground floor entrance altered); carving in pediment includes banner lettered "AD 1865"; ground floor has stilted segmental-headed windows, first floor has round-headed windows, all with keystones and archivolts, the imposts run out as string courses. Side walls have plain pilasters and entablature (the last bay breaking forwards slightly) and matching windows without archivolts. Interior not inspected, presumed altered.
