GV II

House, mid-to-late C18 with C17 remains and C20 alterations. Pebbledashed
rubble with sandstone dressings and slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays. Windows
sashed with glazing bars and plain stone surrounds. Door, in central bay,
has stone surround with cornice hood and is flanked by lights (probably a
C20 alteration) which have sashes with glazing bars. Chimneys on gables,
to left of door, and to left of right-hand bay. Right-hand chimney cap has
weathered offset and moulded cornice. Inside, the left-hand room has 2
axial moulded beams of C17 type, both of which have scarf joints near the
gable wall. These may remain from a C17 house and may have been scarfed
when a firehood bressumer was removed. The entrance hall has one chamfered
and one moulded beam.
