Farmhouse, dated 1720 on porch, now derelict, with barn attached
at lower level at east end. Coursed sandstone rubble, stone slate
roof with gable chimneys and gable copings with kneelers. Double
pile 2-bay plan, 2 storeys; projecting single storey gabled porch
at right end covering junction with barn has plain doorway offset left
and datestone in gable with a recessed shouldered panel containing
raised decoration and lettering: a crudely carved radiant sun in the
head, a flower beneath this flanked by the letters "I" and "L" and "1720"
below. All window openings are now boarded or blocked: a rectangular
window in the porch, 2 horizontal rectangular windows at ground
floor and an inserted doorway at the left end, and 4 square windows at
1st floor (most windows have flat brick heads); rear wall has several
similar blocked windows, one at 1st floor with a chamfered mullion,
and there is a sunk dairy built into the slope to the rear of the
1st bay. Barn at right end has sliding door to front, large lean-to at
rear.
