SD 82 SE BACUP OAKENCLOUGH ROAD

Two cottages, the centre and right of a row of 3, c.1800. Watershot
coursed sandstone, stone slate roof now with no chimneys. Double
pile, each one bay. Two storeys; vertical joint between the two,
and on each side of this a doorway with plain surround and board door;
stepped triple-light windows on both floors, No. 38 having 2 at 1st
floor. Right return wall of No. 40 rendered, has doorway at ground
floor. (No. 36 continued to left is not included in the item).
