Farmhouse and cottage, dated 1744 on datestone over door, now house and cottage. Watershot coursed sandstone rubble with quoins, stone slate roof with gable coping and kneelers with ball finials at left gable, chimney at left gable, continued in slate on cottage to right which has metal flue at gable. Three bays. Two storeys: house is yellow colour-washed, symmetrical, has doorway with pilaster jambs and moulded cornice, and above this a square datestone with raised decoration shield with Arms, and lettering below this "Sir Andrew Chadwick knight 1744"; two horizontal rectangular windows on each floor, all now three-light casements. Cottage to right has doorway with plain surround close to junction, blocked doorway at right end, two two-light flush mullion windows between these at ground floor and two tall altered windows above. Interior not inspected.
