Two adjoined pairs of cottages, probably early C19. Watershot coursed
sandstone, stone slate roofs on 2 levels, with ridge chimney to Nos. 245 and
247, gable chimneys to the others. Double-depth plan, each cottage one bay.
Nos. 241 and 243 three storeys, Nos. 245 and 247 two storeys, all built backs
to earth of steep slope; doorways with plain surrounds offset to left, one
window on each floor, all sashed without glazing bars, and all with plain
sills and heads. Rear: top floor doors approached by steep path up slope.
