5/119 Barn c.20 metres south of
Kiln Field Farmhouse

Barn, C18. Coursed sandstone rubble, stone slate roof. Rectangular 3-bay
plan. Two storeys; symmetrical front towards farmhouse has segmental-headed
wagon entrance, 2 ground floor openings each side: to left (down slight slope)
a door and a window with a square blind panel above them making heads on the
same horizontal level as 2 doorways to the right (one of which is blocked or
blind); upper floor has square window in the centre, 2 square blind window
each side. Left gable wall, mostly concealed by wooden lean-to shed, has
bulls-eye and small owl-hole with perching stone. Listed for group value
