SD 82 NW RAWTENSTALL LOVE CLOUGH FOLD

- Love Clough Farmhouse

GV II

Barn, probably early C18. Coursed sandstone rubble with quoins, stone slate
roof. Rectangular plan (lean-to garage attached at south-east corner not
included in the item). Large wagon entrance in centre of east side (opposed
entrance blocked). South gable wall has doorway at each side with rectangular
lintel, a window between these, an inserted window at loft level; both gables
have a triangular owl-hole in the apex and a little round-headed lancet below.
Interior: original roof trusses and purlins.
