Farmhouse, dated 1707 on lintel, altered. Coursed sandstone rubble with
quoins, slate roof with two C19 stone chimneys. Three-bay baffle-entry
plan, with continuous lean-to addition at rear. Two storeys; doorway in
line with ridge chimney at junction of 2nd and 3rd bays has shaped lintel
with raised lettering in the centre W ; 3 windows on each floor, all
WA1

formerly 3 lights with chamfered mullions but all now altered as 2-light
sliding sashes with glazing bars (altered opening to that in centre at
ground floor). Interior: former rear wall of housepart in middle bay has
window and firewindow altered as cupboards, a saltcupboard to the left of
the fireplace; wattle and daub partition to the service rooms in the 1st
bay, a spiral newel staircase in the rear of the 1st bay; chamfered beams
with run-out stops in 3rd bay.
