attached barn

II

Farmhouse with attached barn, late C18, now house. Sandstone random rubble
with facade of watershot coursed squared sandstone with quoins, slate roof
with brick chimneys. Double-depth 2-bay plan, with small extensions at
left end and at rear. Two storeys and garret, symmetrical, with gable
chimneys; central door with modern glazed porch, two 4-pane sashes on each
floor, moulded gutter brackets. Left gable has attic window, and
single-storey extension with gable chimney. Rear has single-storey
extension, various windows including a segmental-headed stairlight and
above this a 3-light window with wooden mullions. Three-bay barn continued
to right at lower level has large segmental-headed wagon entrance adjoining
house, and a doorway at the right end.
