Farmhouse, C17, altered and enlarged in C18. Random rubble with quoins, the
front and right return walls covered with scored stucco painted white, 2-span
slate roofs with gable chimneys, the front roof with stone gable copings and
kneelers. Square plan formed by 3-bay C17 house with parallel rear addition.
Two and a half (front) and 2 storeys; gabled single-storey porch offset right
of centre, above this an altered 2-light double-chamfered mullion window
lacking the mullion, to the right one square recessed casement with glazing
bars on each floor, to the left one 2-light casement at ground floor. Left
gable wall has 2 double-chamfered mullion windows with hoodmoulds, 2 lights at
ground floor left, 4 lights at 1st floor right, remains of another 4-light
window at ground floor containing the lintel of a former door; and a blocked
attic light. Right gable wall has a long hoodmould on each floor including
the attic, which has one light patent. The addition has one square window
with square surround on each floor at this end, a doorway at the other end.
Interior: at each gable wall of the front part is a stone C18 fireplace with
corbelled jambs, that in the 1st bay with moulded surround and cornice, the
other plain.
